What kind of information do you collect about me when I visit your web site?

Every time you visit http://www.drbjg.com, my web server automatically recognizes only your domain name. This data includes the number of pages you visit as well as the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of where you were on the Internet if you clicked a link to my site, any terms you may have used in a search which directed you to my site, and whether you came to my site from a bookmark. I cannot identify you individually from your screen name if you are using America Online or one of the other major on-line services.

Naturally, if you request a product or service, I will need your name, and an e-mail address and a phone number that I can use to contact you if any of the information provided is incorrect (for example, if there is a typographical error.) If you wish to purchase merchandise from me, I may ask for additional information.

I also track the total number of visitors to our site in an aggregate form to allow me to update and improve my site; personally identifiable information is not extracted in this process.

What do you do with my e-mail address?

I collect your e-mail address if you request a product demo, or purchase merchandise or services from me or as part of your product registration with me. I use this address to communicate with you about your purchases, and, if you wish, to send you notices that might be of interest to you. I do not sell or otherwise give out your e-mail address to others. None of your information is merged with outside data for marketing purposes.

If at any time you wish to be removed from my e-mail mailing list, send me a message requesting to be removed.

Is credit card information secure?

Yes, I only use the information provided to process your order in accordance with the terms of my merchant account agreement. If you are using the PayPal® service, refer to their privacy statement located here.

How else do you use information about me?

Once you make a purchase from me, your name becomes a part of my customer file. As a valued customer, you will receive product and technical support e-mails from me in the future alerting you to product updates or technical enhancements. If you do not wish to receive such mailings, please send me an e-mail stating so. I do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about consumers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. In the event that I amend my Privacy Policy in the future, these changes will be clearly posted on my web site so you can be kept informed of how, where, when and why I collect information and how I use it.

Is your web site secure?

I am committed to the security of information collected on my site. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, I have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect on-line. Private account information is not directly connected to the internet. Employees or contractors who have access to my personal information are required to keep the information confidential and not use it for any other purpose than to carry out the services they are performing for me.

What is my policy on children's privacy?

My web site is not directed at children. However, children may access my web site and provide information. They may request information regarding my products and services and attempt to order certain products and services. Because I accept only credit card sales or payments by personal check or money order, there is less chance that a child will be able to place an order with me, but in any case, children should seek the consent of their parents before providing any information about themselves or their households on the Internet.
